I had the BEST trip to the Great Movie Ride! Mommy is going to write about it...
We walked up to the ride, and Marshall was SO excited. He had been waiting to come back for months. We waited
in line and rode with Robyn as our tour guide. Marshall was looking for the castmembers who had signed his guestbook
but didn't have any luck finding them.
After the first ride, we got up the nerve to talk to Manuel, who was standing out front. He was very nice and said
everyone had been waiting for Marshall to come. He ushered us over to meet Meg. Marshall was presented with a
GMR hat and got to meet a whole slew of castmembers! Meg then took Marshall on a special ride, where she showed him
all of the hidden Mickey's and told him all sorts of information about the rehab (which for whatever reason, Marshall had
been particularly curious about over the week prior to the trip). Marshall got pictures with a bunch of the castmembers
and was ecstatic to get to meet them all. He kept saying that they had the best job in the world.
We then rode the ride again, this time with Scott as our tourguide. After the ride, we got a chance to talk to
Derek outside, who gave Marshall even more info about the rehab! Hallie then came up and gave Marshall a Magical Moments
award, which he has in a frame in his room. What a kind and wonderful thing that was. Marshall tells all he is
the Great Movie Ride's biggest fan, and he has an award that says so!
We rode the ride many, many more times over the course of the trip. Star Wars ride? It's "yame". Better to
run back to the GMR. Tower of Terror? Too scary. Better another visit to the GMR. Rockin' Roller Coaster?
You get the idea. Marshall got to ride with Karen, Sarah, Joe (he sounds like a man on the radio), and Rebekkah.
Over the course of the visit, we met many, many GMR cast members, all of whom made the trip the most special visit.
Marshall sends everyone he meets to his website, tells all about his trip and the castmembers he met, and tells anyone who
will listen why the GMR is the best ride/show ever! Marshall is now planning on building a Disneyworld in our hometown
(he'd like to be an architect, and he's decided that Texas would be the perfect place to build another park), and he said
the GMR will be the first ride in the park!
We thank all of you for your kindness. Thanks to all of you, Marshall's dreams did come true!
